Alec’s Christmas Concert

Alec’s school had a lovely Christmas Concert.

He was all dressed-up and excited for the show.

He was the best dressed one there. He sang his little heart out. And hollered through some songs too.

It was an excellent preschool concert!

Lights! Lights! Lights!

We went to a couple of spectacular light displays on the way home. Mommy’s camera was doing some crazy things but it made some pretty awesome pictures.

Did we mention that it was super cold?

And uber windy? It was crazy cold.

Someone was wasn’t as interested in the second light display. He was tuckered out after our big day.

Santa, I know him!

We went to see Santa! They were so excited and Santa was looking the best I have seen him in a long while. We made a special day of it and traveled miles to get there but everyone thought it was worth it!

Santa had a resize their antlers’ so many times it was funny. I guess he hasn’t ever brought hats to the these kids.

Bon Bon Claire

Claire was in her first Nutcracker this year. She was a Bon Bon in the Land of Sweets. She really liked it and it was a big new experience for us all. And she danced so well.

And she and her best ballet friend were Bon Bons together!

Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

Everywhere. And there seemed to be a bumper crop this year. We raked, shredded, drug, bagged, canned, blew, and swept about 1,945,637,208 leaves out of the front yard. And there are still plenty out there and more to float down from the neighbors’ trees.

But of course we had a lot of help. And here are the annual children playing in leaves pictures . . .

And how about those big oak leaves? Almost as big as their heads! Did I mention we only have one tree in our front yard? And that leaf did not come off of it.

Thanksgiving 2014

Was hosted at our house. Grammy, Grampy, Aiy Ai, Thor, Grandma, Pa, Aunt Becky and the Happy Hasslers were all in attendance.

As we went around the table and said what we were thankful for Alec kept saying “and thankful for me?” after/during each person’s turn. We were all giggling by the time we made it around the table. He was so serious.

Aunt Becky and Claire made a pumpkin pie from scratch. Meaning they baked the pumpkin and everything. It was delicious.

After dinner Claire, Alec and Aunt Becky gave a little concert. Claire played her guitar and sang and Alec sang too.

Alec at one point kind of took over the show. He just kept on singing different songs her knew and telling people when to clap. Being such a performer must be thirsty work.

And even if they don’t look it here

They did really like their Christmas stories they got.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our local Hero

Auntie Aiy Ai got an accommodation at the Air National Guard for being an excellent Guardsman.

She saved a two-year-olds life when the guard was having a ceremony. The toddler started choking and turning blue and Alison was quick on her feet. She did the equivalent to the Heimlich on a baby. She saved his life. And now she got an award, certificate and medal.

We are very proud of our Aiy Ai!
