The Hanging of the Ornaments

Every year they get special ornaments for Thanksgiving and this year was no exception. This year they each got an owl. There are others too but these are the ones we did for the ceremonial first ornaments on the tree.

Visit with Santa

We finally got to see Santa last night. He came to the Knights of Columbus to see all the good little girls and boys. Claire was so excited and Alec was checking him out. starting to get the idea.

Let it Snow!

Just no more ice, please. As you know we’ve been snowed in for three days and counting so we’ve been playing outside the last couple of days. Fun, fun, fun!

Lights on the Square

We went up to the Square to look at the lights since we haven’t done that in YEARS. Mommy and her roommate hiked from their dorm freshman year to look at the lights the first year they had them. And Mommy and Daddy went there on their first date and one year anniversary.  We love the lights! And we were happy to learn that our kids do too!

There is a picture somewhere of Mommy and Daddy form way back in our dating days just like this. So we wanted to get another (and a few more that aren’t being published in case we want to run for public office one day).

Thanksgiving 2013

Really happened, I promise. But for some reason this is the only picture of any part of a meal that was taken.

100_1310

Proof that we made a bird. But we really did have a nice holiday. We went to Ginger’s for Thanksgiving with the Hassler clan. And on Friday the other side got together. Aiy ai, Grammy and Grampy came over for a very nice feast, if I do say so myself.

And here are a couple of pics from Thanksgiving night.

Thank you for the books, Grammy & Grampy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Reading Time

One of the best things about Claire learning to read is that she loves to read to Alec and he lets her.

Leaves, leaves and more leaves

We raked and raked and raked the other day with some help.
