Dressing for Dinner

On occasion, Claire has been known to be demanding. And on occasion, her mother gives in to said demands . . .

IMG_4459This is what must be worn to eat dinner these days.

IMG_4461  Oh, and breakfast and lunch.

Bon App├ętit!

And They Sleep On . . .

Claire and Daddy took a nap together today . . .

IMG_4466 Sweet Dreams!

Claire Likes Apples

a lot, apparently . . .

We were making cupcakes for the Christ the King Carnival on Saturday and Claire must have been hungry.

IMG_4440Before I realized it she grabbed a banana and started trying to take bites. It was a little mushy so I took that away and before I could give her an alternative she grabbed and took a bite out of an apple.

IMG_4445Taking a bite . . .

IMG_4446I thought this was about as far as she was going to get . . . uh, no.

IMG_4454Sometimes she didn’t use hands . . .

IMG_4455She contemplated . . .

IMG_4450 Again, I thought she was done . . .

IMG_4453 Not even close . . .

IMG_4457She munched and worked on that thing like it was going out of style.

IMG_4458And she even started on another one before I realized it. Guess I should give her more apples whole – she loved it and had a great time.

Needless to say, I didn’t get around to taking any pics of the cupcakes. So unless you won them at the carnival just imagine them. They were pretty and green. Claire liked those too!

Do They Make Suspenders in Size 24 Months?

because Claire could use some . . .

IMG_4420 So she got this cute outfit for Easter from Uncle Gene and I thought she could wear it as long pants instead of cropped ones like they are supposed to be. I didn’t realize how much more junk she needs in the trunk to wear a 2T.

IMG_4421 She might not be a plumber but maybe she is on the road to mechanic . . .

IMG_4429Oh what a cute moon it would be . . .

IMG_4433They fell a little lower and she is trying to pull them up. We gave up on them shortly after this.

IMG_4424Just a sweet picture of a girlie looking at Daddy.

This and That of the Week

IMG_4362Claire and her 13-year old cousins on Mother’s Day.

IMG_4366The only picture taken of me on Mother’s Day and it’s with my favorite nephew.

IMG_4369 Here she comes – ready to play!

IMG_4376 She loves to sit in the window in the Dining Room.

IMG_4381Love this picture – arms full again . . . even caught her skirt.

IMG_4383Just cute. Love her in cute tights.

IMG_4386 What are you looking at, lady?

IMG_4401Maybe Mommy won’t notice . . .

IMG_4395  Um, yea, I think Mommy noticed.

IMG_4400Chocolate covered sweetness.

IMG_4418And this pretty much sums up a lot of the week . . .

Another Day in the Garden

Well Mommy and Daddy finally got the vegetable garden ready to plant and Claire got home just in time to do just that.

IMG_4302Claire plants her first beans.

IMG_4313So careful.

IMG_4306Time to water. She watered herself more than the plants. But what did we expect?

IMG_4322Grandma helping out.

IMG_4323Grandpa and Uncle Gene came too!

IMG_4293 Time for “Monster Hands” with gloves!

IMG_4338 Claire helped Mommy plant the flower seeds for the cutting garden.

IMG_4337She did such a good job!

Post gardening fun . . .

Icky Sicky

Claire and Mommy are working on getting over whatever it is that Daddy brought home from the hospital last week and infected us. We both have yucky throats and Claire has an ear infection. We are both on Amoxicillin and it seems to be helping, some. Thanks Dr. I!

Here are a couple of pics from today . . .

Claire and Her Buddies

I recently caught Claire a couple of times with her arms full of her buddies . . .

IMG_4256First thing in the morning, these are her sleeping buddies – Ducky, Dolly, Jack-o-Lantern and Bunny. Never a night without them.

This day the 100 Acre Wood wanted to come out to play, I guess. Please note her summer slippers.

I’m glad she has buddies. They are always there when you need them!
