Wired for Sound

Claire got her tubes Tuesday and the operation was a success. We got to the hospital before 6:00 a.m. and were home by 9:00. Everything went well.

Daisy even got to “scrub in”.

So glad everything went well. Just hope it solves our problems! We love our sweet Claire Elaine.

Father’s Day 2010

First thing first, we went to church and Claire received the anointing of the sick for her surgery on Tuesday. She went home to have breakfast with Grandma & pa while Mommy and Daddy stayed for Mass. No breakfast in bed this year.

That evening we had the Grandfathers over for dinner. Grandma Hassler, Auntie Alison, and Cousin Thor were also in attendance. Grammy is still in the hospital so we sent her a plate.

A Girl and Her Blue Hippo

One of Claire’s new interests is her Blue Hippo pull toy. Hazel likes all things with wheels so she is close behind. She misses the Cozy Coupe since the floor board was taken out.

I can’t decide why she takes the broom. Hazel is not a fan. And she’s off.

She Cooks, She Cleans

What else could you ask for?

Sunday before last, Grammy and Gramps came over for breakfast with Mommy, Daddy, Claire, Thor and Hazel. So Claire had to clean and cook to get ready.

First she swept the kitchen.

Then she decided she needed to Swiffer too.

Like her Great Grandfather Boppa, and Great Great Auntie Marion, she chews her tongue when concentrating (in this case putting in the muffin cups) . . . we’ll have to see what she does when she uses scissors.

Cousin Thor’s Stay

Cousin Thor came to stay with us because Auntie Alison had to go to Las Vegas for the two weeks a year for the Air National Guard. We had a lot of fun but for some reason didn’t take many pictures. But here are a few . . .

Thor helped out a lot this week. He played with Hazel a lot. Read nighttime stories, played tea party, dolls and Thomas (trains) with Claire, watered, and anything else I asked. He is a good kid. We loved having Thor here for the week and can’t wait to see him when he gets home from camp. We hope he has fun!

Pool Party

Claire took a swim, or rather a splash the other day in her new pool from Auntie Alison and Cousin Thor. Grammy, Gramps, and Uncle Gene came to see the show.

The water was a bit cold, even for the hot day.

She splished and splashed and had a great time.

And then we were all done. She was really confuse because the next thing we did was give her a bath.

Dressing for Dinner

On occasion, Claire has been known to be demanding. And on occasion, her mother gives in to said demands . . .

This is what must be worn to eat dinner these days.

  Oh, and breakfast and lunch.
