When I asked Alec what he wanted for his birthday his response was “Birthday Cake” and I then asked “What kind of Birthday cake?” and he said “With candles so I can (and he imitates blowing out candles).” So Claire finally got him to agree to an owl cake since he likes owls so much. So here is an owl cake for our little lover of owls.

After hunting eggs and playing outside we had a brunch with all the family. Grandparents, all the sisters, Keith, Blake and Hazel. What a fun Easter!
After Mass on Easter Sunday we went to the church Easter egg hunt. And of course we got to visit with the Easter Bunny.
Did you know we had a great fun Spring Break trip to St. Louis and Memphis? Have you been talking to Claire? So you know the only thing worth talking about that we did was BOWLING. Who knew we only had to go down the street to make Spring Break worth while.
You may remember we got some pretty swanky shoes for Lance for his 40th birthday. We got the same ones for Alec so he could match Auntie Lance. So while in Memphis we wanted to get a shot with the two of them.
Claire wanted in the shot too. She was more into it than Alec. He wanted the shoes off.
They might have scrunched his toes a bit so we left them with Lance for Lorien. When she is old enough she can match her daddy!
We stopped by to visit Uncle Dewey on our way to Memphis. We had a nice lunch and a nice visit with him and his wife, Eleanor. Uncle Dewey is one of Grampy’s oldest friends.
Behind Aunt Becky’s apartment there is an urban farm. They have a lot of neat stuff. Particularly the chickens! Claire was really excited to see them.

After the Magic House we headed for Crown Candy. After a long wait in line we finally got seats together separated by a wall. But we had great fun just the same!
